I understand that but that doesn't mean much she probably caught backlash and recanted. Either way. Between those who say Nas didn't do anything and Kelis's story the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

The issue with Kelis’s claims are that they are faulty by default. Half of what she said was bullshyt, which calls into question her entire story.

According to docs filed by Kelis' lawyer, disso queen Laura Wasser, the financial wizards have reviewed the earning of both parties to the divorce, and they've come to these conclusions.

-- Kelis rakes in a relatively paltry $13,744 a month
-- Kelis should get child support totaling $17,225 a month

Nas claims he once arrived at Kelis’ house to pick up Knight and the singer screamed at him, saying he couldn’t take the child. The rapper also says Kelis has refused to allow him to pick up Knight from school.
In March, Nas and Kelis reached a joint custody agreement. While details of the agreement were not publicly disclosed, it’s believed that it was very specific and laid out who would be taking Knight on various holidays throughout the year.

“I haven’t seen a dime of the money they say I did.”- If that were true, Kelis would have had Nas thrown in jail for contempt of court, because he was ordered by LAW to pay her spousal and child support
According to documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Nas had to immediately fork over $47,249.42 in back child support and $40,454 in back spousal support.
The judge also ordered Nas to pay $10,000/month in spousal support until he pays off the $299,015.50 he owes Kelis.
Nas also has to pay 90% of Kelis' legal fees in the amount of $155,787.28.
Lastly, Nas has to pay $48,549.83 to cover Kelis' accounting expenses.

She's not specific as to how much more she wants, but whatever she gets, she wants add-ons to the base ... namely, 50% of school-related costs, 50% of any child care Kelis needs, and 50% of unreimbursed health care.

Nas is in some very serious debt. According to public records, the rapper owes the IRS over $6.46 million dollars in back taxes. The IRS filed a $514,298 tax lien on January 10th, which was added on to a $3 million lien from February 2010 and a $2.5 million lien from October 2009.
Tax debts are not the only significant financial troubles facing the legendary emcee: He has reportedly not paid his monthly condo fees in nearly a year, and he is also responsible for paying $5,000 a month in child support and $20,000 a month in spousal support following his divorce from the R&B singer Kelis.
