Not as excited as I usually would be for a Peele release but its still prob a 1st day for me. I can not like some of his features (whether directing or producing) after Get Out, but I'm not gonna completely write him off.

I hope people have learned their lesson from Us and aren’t going to thinkpiece this shyt to death before it even comes out.
two horror movies is stale? i guess wes craven, james wan, john carpenter, alfred hitchcock all should've never had careers.Okay? And he really needed to change directions after Us. The shyt is stale.
Why would you think you’d get different genres when he said from the jump he’s sticking with horror?Okay? And he really needed to change directions after Us. The shyt is stale.
Bruh this is a discussion forum. He doesn't care about my opinion. I'm just throwing in my two cents that the whole "horror mixed with social messaging" has run its course for him in my opinion. I don't expect this next film to do as well as the last two, but I'll spend my dollars regardless. It just seems like he's trying to be Spike Lee mixed with Kubrick. Why would you think you’d get different genres when he said from the jump he’s sticking with horror?
Why are you so miffed about someone else's opinion? It's not like my words in this thread will influence anything. But still--It's 2021. The films those directors gave us were novel and groundbreaking at the time. Horror as a genre doesn't have a ton left to offer. He tried to give it some life with modern day social messages. It's not like I'm saying something crazy here. Are you suggesting 'Us' was received as well as 'Get Out'? The numbers say it wasn't. The box office tally is the same-- but the audience reaction was much poorer. I don't think this next film will reverse that trend. We'll see.two horror movies is stale? i guess wes craven, james wan, john carpenter, alfred hitchcock all should've never had careers.
peele said what type of movies he's going to make, maybe you need to change directions if horror isn't what you want to see
people set themselves up to be disappointed by Us by over-dissecting 90-sec trailers for the 4-5 months before the movie even dropped, reading way to into it and trying to apply meaning and depth where there actually wasn't any. i never took Us as trying to be social commentary like Get Out, the people who did are the types to think kendrick lamar track listings have hidden meanings on every albumWhy are you so miffed about someone else's opinion? What's with the nasty attitude? Like I said, it's my opinion and it's only entertainment. You seem almost personally offended. I didn't say Get Out was some mid. I said after seeing him follow the same formula a second time, and what looks to be a third time this upcoming film-- it's getting a bit stale. If it turns out that's not the case then good-- we'll have another dope movie from a black director. The sentiment here is simply wanting to see a creator I'm a fan of succeed. That doesn't mean I have to agree with every artistic direction he takes.people set themselves up to be disappointed by Us by over-dissecting 90-sec trailers for the 4-5 months before the movie even dropped, reading way to into it and trying to apply meaning and depth where there actually wasn't any. i never took Us as trying to be social commentary like Get Out, the people who did are the types to think kendrick lamar track listings have hidden meanings on every album
if people didn't enjoy Us as a movie, fine, if they didn't enjoy it because it didn't have the same social commentary, that's on them for letting their expectations supersede reality. as a fan of all types of horror, the movie was fine by me, it fit my fukkery quotient .
lastly, he's two films deep, the first being blassic...OMG, oh no, you mean every single film he drops might not be classic!?
She's why I'm about this I already know Daniel will kill it but her doing a villain typeI can see Keke killing a crazy person role
