:francis: What’s the “message” in this movie. Honestly, I’m becoming lukewarm on the guy. I was expecting big budget Donald Glover from him. I thought we would get diverse content covering a number of genres with black leads.

The crazy part is that they don’t realise how obnoxious it is and ruins the enjoyment of the film.

These black Blue Check-types, or "cultural critics", are the new gatekeepers.

You used to hear about creators having to convince certain executives or suits that they were worth working with or worth developing, now these "cultural critics" can ruin your rep or critique you so hard you won't even get the opportunity to be rejected by the industry.

And in return, the "cultural critics" get to put "[INSERT DYING PUBLICATION] Contributor" in their bio and act like they now decide what's good, what's bad, and worse, what something "means"

All they're gonna need is the premise of this film to be released and don't worry about it: they'll tell us why we shouldn't like it.
