I didn't watch his AEW debut because I'm done with his loser ass but I can imagine how sluggish he probably was. The jobber probably had to compensate by being thrown around a few times to make Lee seem like a fat beast.

yeah and hes anti vaccine too….

fukkn caught covid and started havn heart problems

It's more than WWE.

Meh? Ain’t it pretty much the same thing as a NO DQ match?

I know I haven’t watched in a while…… but I know they used to have those matches frequently like every month.

Impact too did their fair share.

Again…. I have no problem…. I like No DQ or Hardcore matches just for the variety they bring.

And they make the product feel like it can do more than just 2-4 things

AEW needs a brand split. Too many dudes worthy of a top spot
Y'all are too used to modern WWE's style of none of the roster mattering outside of two or three people. Having a lot of top tier talent a good thing as long as they can book compelling stories. And they don't always need to be chasing a title. All they need is a reason for people to want to see them beat each other's ass.

Yeah but this isn't thr 80s early 90s. Guys like Roddy Piper or Jake the Snake didn't need titles to get over.

But it's different in this era. You can be a top tier talent but fans want to see you wearing a title at a certain point

Yeah but that's on the fans for being stuck in that "title or nothing" mentality. What happened to just being entertaining? Where's the variety in storylines if everything is just about chasing a title?

I was more invested in that Naomi/Mandy feud from a couple years ago than I’ve been around a lot of title centered feuds in the current era. Minus the actual booking (Mandy went over as the heel against a face in Naomi who was defending her marriage), there was more creativity in that compared to “you have a title and I want it, let’s trade victories then get a DQ”

I fukks with this, full swagger back, doing his character his way, nice showcase squash, good pops and okay theme. This is how you debut a mid-card face.

New Orleans --> Las Vegas
I saw dude at an indie show back in 2016 (Inspire Pro down in Austin), and was completely unimpressed. I thought his opponent, little 5'5" Jojo Bravo, completely carried the match. But his debut the other the night made him look like an absolute star. Granted it was a short squash mash, but had I known nothing of dude prior to his debut, i would've been like "who the fukk IS?? :ohhh::ohhh:"

All they had to do but book him in matches and keep him away from the mic and they fumbled it already

Booker really out here tellin The Limitless One to limit himself and be like every other big guy :mjlol:

Booker T On What He Would Like To See Keith Lee Change
During his latest Hall Of Fame podcast, Booker T spoke about Keith Lee and the WWE gimmick that he had. The wrestling legend wasn’t a fan of that character. However, he also thinks that the newest AEW star does moves that he should not be doing due to his size.

“I didn’t like it, I said I didn’t like it,” he said on Lee’s WWE gimmick. “I thought Keith Lee had a lot of potential, but when you’re a monster like Keith Lee, you should go out and be one. There again, Keith Lee is a hell of an athlete, and he does a lot of things, just say, for instance, I teach a lot of big guys at my school.

“Certain things we teach them, I say, ‘hey man, I am just teaching you this just so you know it. This is something that you’re never going to actually do in the ring, in front of people. That’s not what this is for, it’s a training session.’ Keith Lee did a lot of things that he did in training in the ring that a big man that is north of 300 pounds should not be doing. That’s just my opinion.”

Booker T went on to talk about the moves in more detail. He made it clear that the Limitless One needs to start trying to figure things out. That’s because he won’t be able to do those moves forever.

“Well, the thing is, for Keith Lee, it’s not that he can’t do it,” he pointed out. “I don’t think he’s limited or anything like that. It’s the fact that he’s a 300 plus pound man that can do a leapfrog, so he does it. He’s a 300 plus pound man that can springboard over the top rope, so he does it. But trust me, as he get’s older, he isn’t going to be able to do none of that. He’d better try to figure this out now.”
