This whole beef allegedly started over Wolf and Big Jake and ended up with Pac and Biggie being killed. Every step of the way, this was a beef that started in the streets and ended in the streets.

The problem with this theory is that Keefe D did not know he was being recorded, and had no knowledge what he said was ever going to enter the public domain. So street fame for who? Ghosts? He didn't know what information the detectives had so it was in his best interest to tell the truth. If he lied about the shooter and it turned out they had evidence of the actual shooter, the proffer agreement would be off and he'd be doing life.
