Yes.

You don't think the Lakers would have demanded more to trade Kobe to San Antonio than they would have demanded from say, Chicago?

I hear what you're saying. But I think a Ingram/Kuzma/Picks package is pretty. But I also think Boston and Philly can easily too that but are they wiki to give up a Brown, Fultz, or Saric with the chance Kawhi can bounce in a year.

Ingram is the only one in LA who interests me.
Kuzma has a nice drive to him but I worry that he won't ever be a good defender.

It's a nice package, I'm not denying that.

Yeah it's not the best and like I said it could easily be trumped by a team that's willing to take the risk of Kawhi leaving.

It's not about spite. If the Lakers were going to suck and Kawhi's on his own out there, the Spurs couldn't give a shyt. But creating another superteam? That ain't no better package. Getting some third-rate assets doesn't make up for them not being able to be competitive for years to come. Yes, I'd rather trade Kawhi to some random East team and let fate or luck or cap space problems prevent the Lakers from putting up another roadblock in the West.
How does that change anything if it means that you won't win anything anytime soon? They've played themselves with Aldridge and Pau contracts

We ain’t giving up all 3. It’s Kuzma and one of Ingram or Ball

Leonard has all the leverage.. Lose Kwahi for nothing or trade him where he will be a rental..

No team ain’t fukkin with it if he’s a rental... RC and Pop better do something
I just don't see it that way.

Suppose the Spurs don't trade Kawhi.
LA has to play the 2018 season. Even if they get PG and Lebron -- that's not enough to come out of the West. And do those guys even want to be in that situation waiting a year for Kawhi to maybe fit on the roster?
And suppose PG and Lebron go to LA and they DO WIN in 2018 (at least to the point where they are serious contenders)...do the Lakers then want to blow up a roster to fit in Kawhi and his (presumably) massive contract?

I don't think this is as easy as you all make it seem

I agree Kawhi has all the leverage

He is going to end up in LA no matter what, the spurs should take the Lakers trade package,

With these reports coming out I think Bos and Phi won't offer much now that we know he is only a rental.
