Lebron too smart to let Lakers gut the team

He knows he can't win with Paul George, kawhi and bums
True, but if I'm Bron I don't want to wait another year unless I'm waiting to steal Klay Thompson or some shyt. I wouldn't wait for the prospect of Bron/Kawhi/George, but I'd wait for Bron/Kawhi/Thompson.

How would this work financially though?

I imagine Bron will try to go the sign and trade route, so he can get the full max (unless he's that committed to chasing Steph/another ring). Kawhi has to be traded, and George will prob just sign outright so you need to already have at least the amount its going to take to sign him available in cap space.

I don't think LA will keep any of their young guys if they have to trade for both Bron and Kawhi either. Neither the Spurs nor the Cavs have any incentive to help if they're not eating well off the deal. So Ball, Kuzma, Ingram, and maybe even Randle are probably out.

LA can renounce all free agent cap holds (Randle, Lopez, etc.) and get the room for 2 max slots. No S&T trade necessary for LeBron and if you're going for Kawhi/third star you can't afford to trade for him anyway.

Working out a S&T with Cleveland is difficult because they don't have any incentive to help LeBron, they're not taking Deng back and also not getting one of Kuzma/Ingram. And I think it's going to take both of them to get SA to take back Deng and get a Kawhi trade done. Even if you S&T for Lebron and signed PG you wouldn't have the space to sign Kawhi in 2019, so if LA wants him they have to get him this summer. SA knows that and that's why the Lakers will have to bend further than other teams to get him...that and because that's the team he truly wants to play for.

Kawhi gonna have to say "I will only resign with Lakers" and drop value or some shyt

The unfortunate thing about this situation is that his camp seems to be doing all the talking. They are saying the exact opposite of what the spurs staff/players and some media personnel that claim to have insider knowledge of the situation is saying :francis:
They leaked this shyt so the Spurs have no leverage
If the Lakers ain’t talking bout sending at least Kuz/Hart, Ingram, and some picks id let this mf sit another year and try to paint him as some kind of malcontent to tank his value
Ain’t nothing wrong with leaving but this is some bytch nikka shyt and the only ones cool with it are Laker fans

And some wonder why players don't tell the team they want to be traded ....

instead the leave as a free agent

because if you tell them you not re-uping you get a year of them trying to toss dirt on your name

and when you don't want to go to just anywhere your being un-fair to the team you want to leave...

so to me just do not answer the questions play hard and leave as a free agent :yeshrug:

If he deserved the respect then his organization would be wrong for doing him like that. But he has been acting like a malcontent. If you wanna leave then let it be known or not, as long as you fulfill whatever commitment you still have to the team. Faking an injury to sit out cause you wanna leave:dahell:
Mf ain’t even have the decency to show up to playoff games
He don’t deserve special treatment

S&T wouldn't be necessary to make it happen, but LA can't offer full max, if I'm not mistaken, without Bird Rights, which they can only get in sign and trade. And I think the absolute max is what Bron will/should demand at this point in his career. But like I said, the allure of stealing one more ring might be worth leaving a little money on the table and signing outright, rather than going for s&t.

I agree with you about SA though. They prob take both Kuzma and Ingram, maybe also a couple picks. But I don't think Bron will want to leave any money on the table, which is the complicating factor imo. But Bron might end up just signing outright, no sign and trade, to a one year deal. I think if he does that and were to stay with the Lakers after the yr is up, the Lakers would have his Bird Rights and could max him then.

You alluded to it bird rights don't matter to him, he won't be signing a 4-5 year contract. His years in the league guarantees he'll see 35.4 mil on the market (he'll make 35.6 if he opted in the final year with CLE), PG will see 30 mil.

PG will sign the longer term deal, Bron will sign 1+1 and opt out after the first year.

He BEEN cleared by the Spurs staff for months
Even his own doctors cleared him before the playoffs started or in the early rounds if I’m not mistaken
They rightfully called him out

Agents always tell the truth ?

:duck:
This. Plus that article said LeBron's whims :francis: That's not exactly objective writing. Sounds more like Fat Boy Lebatard or Pat Riley sending more shots at LeBron.:scust:Two titles wasn't enough they will still hate on the man until the day they die.:dame:
