The Athletic's Jason Lloyd reported Friday that the Cavaliers were "close" to shipping Irving to the desert in a three-team deal with the Indiana Pacers that would have sent Paul Georgeand Eric Bledsoe to Cleveland.

Kyrie read the situation and said two sides can play that game.

As far as the money, his super max in Cleveland was eligible to be 5 years - $200m ($40m annually), his super max in Boston next summer is 5 years - $180m ($36m annually). If he leaves next summer his new team can give him 4 years - $140m ($35m annually). I don't know where you getting that imaginary 80 mil from.

That report was all Indiana leaking that. They weren’t “close” to sending Kyrie to Indiana at all. Indiana was asking for Kyrie in the deal and Cleveland was resisting. The final deal that was essentially agreed upon was the 3way between Cleveland, Denver and Indiana

Cleveland gets Paul George
Denver gets Kevin Love
Indiana gets Gary Harris

That was the deal that was done but then Pritchard nuked it at the last possible min.

And Kyrie isn’t eligible for a super max in Boston. The only team that could offer him that was his original team and only after a certain amount of years/all nba appearances.

Cleveland resisted because they couldn't get a long term commitment from Brawn. He wanted to get PG & Bledsoe in the building but still have his flexibility this summer. The overall point though, is that he was being dangled as trade bait around the draft. Reliable sources have spoken on and confirmed that, his reaction confirmed that.

He's not eligible for the $200m super max, but Boston acquired his bird rights in that trade. They're able to offer 5 years - $180m next summer, like i said that 80 mil number is imaginary.

Him and d Rose got surrounded by pure shyt as teammates. Kawhi probably fed up playing with 40 year olds.

You talking about the same teammates who won 47 games while he was out nursing his yeast infection in new york?

Or the same team that won 60 + games wit hhim?

Or the team that smoked the rockets in game 6 at home when he hurt his little ankle ?

LWO can have this autistic hoe ass crybaby nikka...

This dude barely played 5 minutes this year and the spurs STILL had a top 2 defense in the league...

If he get traded to the lakers and only play 9 games this year I wonder what their record would be without him :mjlol:

Hell
I would do Hayward and picks

Or filler and picks

I would pfobably trade Jalen. I like his game but I think Hayward is more fundamentally sound and Tatum is the future.

:gucci: Not at the expense of Kyrie. And Cleveland wasn’t going to do that deal anyway. David Griffin and Kyrie were very close.

You really think Bron was trying replace Kyrie Irving with Eric Bledsoe breh? He only wanted George. He only wanted Bledsoe once Kyrie himself requested a trade and the Cavs were being active. And even then he met with the owner asking him to “just bring Kyrie to camp”

And I’d never seen that 180 mil number before... all I saw was the most Bos could offer Ky was 136/5yrs whereas Cleve could offer a true supermax of 205/5yrs. Once u get traded there is no such thing as a “supermax” just a max.

But if u got any receipts I stand corrected:feedme:
