thats my point. its underhanded. dont think it can come back to bite the player. Spurs are shrewd. they may send that nikka to Memphis for the 4th pick for pullin this shyt. :patrice:

Possibly,
But memphis gets nothing. Its a terrible deal.

You only get him for a year, he dont give a fuk about the Mills. Hes gonna be a UFA so you lose anyway and you lose your building block draft pick.

If im magic, id send them nikkas ball, kuzma and a 1st rder

Nah if it's the right asset you'll still have teams bidding against each other. What cheapens the asset is when the players/agents only have one year left and let it be known they won't resign with teams.

you lost me there. almost this time next year Kawhi can be a free agent. Lakers dont really have much that Spurs would want. Also why would they help the Lakers build a strong team. this opens door for PG13 at very least to go there. no one is bidding on one year Kawhi rental unless they have cap space or is contender. and in most cases, the orgs that fit in those two categories dont have the necessary assets to pull it off.

Only reason George was traded to OKC was because they were looking to dump salary and rebuild, nobody with worthwhile assets stepped up to the plate. Indy hated LA tampering with PG, OKC like most, thought Oladipo was trash and it made sense to pair George with Westbrook. He either stays and we contend or we have cap space which is what we initially wanted anyway.

Is there another team with an established star looking to dump salary out there, if not this and the George situation aren't the same and he'll be in LA.

if Embiid stays healty? :what: hell naw. yall are listening to the media and casuals too much about Bron/Simmons chemistry. they would be just fine.

also, who are you trading for Kawhi before you say Boston would be better. :jbhmm: Kyrie? Hayward? Brown? Spurs gonna want more than Brown. Hayward deal wont get it done either. With Kyrie its a wash. you are banking on Rozier (Smart would likely be gone) leading Kawhi, Tatum, and Horford past Bron, Simmons, Embiid and a whole host of shooters? :dwillhuh:

Realistically the Celtics package would be Jaylen Brown + Kings pick + Future Celtics pick + Smart and/or Morris. They CAN swap Brown for Tatum if absolutely necessary but chances are they won't need to because no one else will have a better package than that to offer.

That team would definitely be better than the Sixers. Kyrie would average 30, Kawhi cancels out LeBron, Simmons has already been shut down by Stevens defensive scheme and will again, Embiid will get off but Horford would have his 20 to offset that, Tatum would have free reign to dominate whoever is matched up on him, and Boston would have the better bench

Nah we can beat GS with those 3.
Golden state has two top 5 players, we wold have two top 5 players. Klay and Paul George are both in the 11-15 range.

It would go 7 it’s a toss up. Golden state would have no clear cut advantage

:camby:Kahwi isn't Top 5. Name your top 5.

I'm saying if Kawhi for instance had three years left he could get a hell of a return from him from the 29 other teams because teams can feel they have him for three years and he can grow to love it and at the very least flip that player if its not working out. However with only 1 year left that doesn't leave much room to flip that player if things not to workout and you risk losing them for nothing if they tell you they won't resign. So instead of 29 teams bidding against each other that lowers that number down to 4-5 teams.
