I would let things play out as they have thus far.....
They get to see what Leonard looks like on the court and outside of the Spurs system and they get to see how the Kawhi/Uncle show handles themself in Philly if it comes to that..
And Kawhi still has to resign....
And if he does resign the Lakers at least will know enough to get an extremely early start on their next offseason plans and who to pursue
Kawhi has no leverage at this point though to be honest . Why doesn’t he play and see what happens by the allstat break or walk as a free man. He’s making himself look bad and hasn’t played much in a year .
Y'all just gotta hope he doesn't get traded to Philly and he and his uncle (who i believe has family in Jersey, close by. Which is partially the reason why Reddikk resigned there) doesn't grow an affection to the place.
After the stunts they allegedly pulled, it'd be an embarressment for him to step out onto the court in a spurs uniform. I wont be shocked if they try to humble him by making him play, and he can't use the injury as an excuse because he is reportedly 100% now, unless he has an unfortunate "setback".
