Lmao @ Spurs fans pretending that the Spurs have any leverage :mjlol:

But they do have leverage...

They can just not trade Kawhi and make him play out the season...and then he has to play at an all nba level to qualify for a super max...or really any max contract...I don't see anybody, even the lakers, offering him the max if he don't play well coming off an injured season...

Then...if that happens...the spurs throw the super max at him...even more than 219 then cause he got one more year of service time...and then you let him make the call...sign back with the spurs at the supermax, or take a 100 million dollar loss and go to LA...If a nikka really want to leave so bad he will eat a loss like that then more power to him...

I don't get what people don't get about this...the spurs could offer Kawhi a supermax RIGHT NOW if they wanted to...they could offer him a regular max RIGHT NOW if they wanted to...we about to be 3 days into free agency and they haven't offered anything at all...it seems like if they were so desperate to do anything they would be offering him a contract right now and begging him to take it...

You guys have Lebron...but we all know he aint doing much without at least one other superstar player, possibly 2...so until you get them...you probably going home in the second round...

Think a millionaire nikka that drives a 97 tahoe gives a fukk about a supermax brehs, It'd be ideal for him to just stay on the spurs if they aint gonna give him up this year. :SmugDahell:

:mjlol: yea we'll see how that works out for future free agents that the Spurs try to sign in the future. The players understand that this is a business, leaving a finals MVP in limbo when as you said, they can offer him a max right now, isn't a good look. Especially since a post injury PG just received a max contract. Boogie will get one too, and yes there are teams that would sign Kawhi to a max right today if they could. When is the last time that a finals MVP level player asked to be traded and wasn't? He's giving the Spurs opportunity to get something in return. He's not ok with playing it out for another year, why would any other potential free agent be OK with finding themselves in a similar situation.

Paul George actually got his max 2 years after he broke his leg...so that's a dumb comparison...:yeahok:

Boogie going to get a max contract it's just hat no one gave him one yet huh? :yeahok:

Pelicans could max him right now...why are they not doing it :yeahok:

Lakers could have maxed him or paid him near max but they decided to sign lebrons sinister six...why didn't they sign Boogie :yeahok:

All of this is happening because Kawhi's uncle is calling the shots and Kawhi can't talk like he has a disability. Grown ass man. Open your mouth and express your discontent.
