Because the Lakers fan base is trying to do us a favor.

Out of the goodness of their hearts they want to give us Ingram and Kuzma. Because Kawhi is going to LA anyway.

And should the Spurs trade Kawhi to LA, the same Lakers fans who so graciously pushed San Antonio to get something out of it, will turn around and claim the deal to be a massive fleecing.

They are at a cross road right now. This is when they might be able to get the most for him. I think a lot depends on Paul George. If he stays in OKC, teams might feel confident to give up more to rent Kawhi for a year and see what happens.

If PG leaves, nobody is gonna give up shyt just to rent Kawhi. Spurs need to decide whether they want to wait that out or not.

It's obvious that shyt is coming form San Antonio to make it seem like the Lakers or others need to up their offers. Especially when you got Magic saying he feels no pressure, and reports coming that Boston ain't putting Brown and Tatum on the table. Spurs are sitting there trying to create a arms race for Kawhi.

That's having enough talent to fend off a Philly, but also handle whoever comes from out the West
