I’m pretty sure like weeks before free agency started they were saying he’s gonna take a few days to take meetings and make his decision anyway so it’s really no surprise it’s been “drawn out”. Hell even KD waited til July 4th when he went to the Warriors
I don’t think he’s basking in the light or hyped on all the anticipation he’s just taking things at his own pace as he should. Just because the rest of the league was eager to make their moves day one and the Lakers are on a Free Agency time crunch waiting on Kawhi’s decision doesn’t mean dude has to rush a damn thing

LA’s only advantage is the fact that it’s close to home and has warmer weather. He’s already comfortable with the Raptors organization and is so beloved by the entire country it’s hard to imagine him turning down a 5-year max from a team he just won a ring with. If anything he’ll do the 1+1 deal to defend the title

true. this is why they should get rid of a cap or start enforcing tampering on people besides the lakers organization because when there's only a finite number of dollars out there on the market, these dudes gonna move ASAP to get paid from now on i think.The funny thing in all of this is Kawhi is the only one doing this free agency thing the right way, we are all impatient as hell because 90% of the league signing within the first 5 hours

I’m a Bulls fan too so the only time I was really really interested in Free Agency for my team was in 2010.
That said, it’s the media that has blown this out of proportion, instead of just a simple “the situation is still fluid”, almost every major name in the media is out here clout chasing trying to break the news.
