Kawhi tore ACL in second round :comeon:

He picked up that injury off a play by Joe Ingles during a game.

Going into The Playoffs he was healthy in both year 1 and 2 he was fine and he played every single game up until that point.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
People wanna discredit the 2020 finals but I guarantee if the Clippers would have won it like a lot of people were predicting… things would look different.
Nobody was counting that bullshyt no matter who won. Once you completely change the dynamics of the playoffs, it’s invalid. It’s just now that the media has ended its silence and started acknowledging the “bubble ring” as not important really... And the Lakers definitely don't care about it cause they fired the winning coach 2 seasons later

Swung for the fences and whiffed badly. It sucks but it happens. Time to sit Kawhi and not make him the focal point of the team anymore. Pivot from him and his team influence. Maybe-probably move PG and get a couple of first rounders. Resign Russ, move the old heads, sign a PF, play the youth, and go after Jaylen Brown after next season. It's fixable if they can make the moves :ehh:

The idea that they would become LAs marquee team aged like milk outside in Arizona during July. The Lakers weren't great at all until the AD trade but they had their number most of the year. They were supposed to meet in the WCF but that implosion in the bubble killed that, and they haven't been able to restore that ever since. I was laughing my ass off when they were considered favorites...the franchise might wanna pull a Brooklyn Nets and ship them both out. It might be too late for that though

I think they're kinda stuck since they're opening up the new stadium soon. You don't wanna go into your new house with a 22 win team

i know the disappointment is fresh, but kawhi went from playing 7 of the first 27 games and looking completely washed to back playing at all nba level. you cant count on kawhi to stay healthy but i still think their best option is to run it back next year, they have a lot more flexibility after next season to either rebuild or if it finally comes together to improve the aging roster.

Yep, I think they have to at least trade PG now and pivot to a rebuild.
