Why does Maine have senators?

Same reason that Rhode Island has two senators.

All states have two senators, and but the # of Representatives that are sent to the house of Reps. is based on population size.
ex) california has 53 seats in the House of Reps and 2 seats in the senate
meanwhile Rhode Island has only 2 seats in the House, and 2 seats in the senate

Become a Senator, not a Rep. if you want to be have political relevance
