A few days ago, during my binge-watching of Law and Order SVU, there was a season 5 episode based on the MJ allegations...I know it's just a TV show but the show's ending insists that he was guilty, but couldn't prove it due to too many lies and scandals by one of the accuser's grandmother making her granddaughter sick and the father of a boy agreeing to a hefty NDA cash settlement to quiet his son from speaking about it.
The episode was called “Sick” and the actor even favored Michael to some degree.
On the wiki page, it says LaToya, back in '93, believed her brother was a pedophile because of things she saw relating to payments made out to numerous boys and their families and how he'd have boys in and out of his room a lot and they'd stay in there for days but also cited Michael's abuse as a child playing a role, but then recanted in '09

Personally, tho, I don't know as I wasn't even born yet when the '93 shyt happened and I don't recall much about the '05 case since I was only about 10 years old. I don't believe he did anything foul, the truth is that nobody will ever know except Michael himself and the children, now adults, who were present during those times.
What we think doesn't matter because none of us were there physically to witness.

I think sometimes, in our community, there's a desire to be morally righteous to prove a sense of responsibility. This is why when heinous claims are made about Black celebrities (Cosby, Jay, R-Kelly, etc.) or even just people in general, verified or not, some people rush to disown or discredit them because of fear of being attached/associated with people and things considered to be immoral and unjust.
As you said, White people defend Elvis and his pedophile allegations and drug addiction at all costs, which is immoral. Black people, on the other hand, are not interested in throwing away morals in favor of race when it comes to sensitive topics of this nature, which isn't a bad thing in reality; it says a lot about the character and morale of Black people to not protect immoral individuals or heinous acts of depravity.
I think your criticism is short-sighted and focuses on one perspective. Your argument seems to be that since White people are morally corrupt and defend the most heinous actions by their celebrities/people, then Black folks should follow suit with our celebrities, etc.
