This is a business decision for Porter… She won her seat by 10k votes and she figures next go around it will be less than that.. Get out while she’s ahead
But I doubt she beats Barbara Lee.
The other former congressman who declined to run because he would have to run against her because of redistricting can win that seat. I forget his name.

I don’t disagree but I just don’t think she would lose. Ro Khanna is thinking of running as well and basically said if Barbara runs he will fall back and back her. It looks like she’s quietly consolidating the progressive vote behind the scenes. It would be interesting to see how it plays out. Ro straight up said there should be a black woman in the Senate according to reports.look, B Lee been my rep, love her, but what we don't need is her running for senate at 77. record be damned, she old AF and needs to get the same "it's time for younger people to lead" treatment
