Nah, man. It’s not that that they traded Towns, it’s taking on Randle. That is the issue.
it was a cost cutting move and Towns’ perception didn’t help matters. He was on a supermax and with that 2nd apron, he didn’t really have that many suitors.

As for the other guy, this is a pit stop. I don’t know why everyone there is in denial of that. He was just supposed to be filler.

Before the Nets traded Bridges, I thought Towns would go to BK for Simmons, Finney-Smith and a bunch of 2nds.

The KAT stuff is more of a told you so to people who said he was going to cower like a child under the "bright lights of NYC" when the reality is the bright lights ain't shyt and been overrated. In other words, KAT was gon be KAT (pros, cons, and all) regardless of the city. He's actually over-performing right now on offense, so that is a bit surprising.

With the Randle stuff, a number of us also said that MIN's sustained success was gonna come down to whether Naz Reid would be more than a great value Jerami Grant... bc he was the big who could provide the floor spacing next to Gobert and had flashes of dexterous skill last couple years. But that was obviously too optimistic a projection for him.

I actually haven't had a problem with Randle. He doesn't settle for the three and takes advantage of his mismatches. Something Kat refused to do. If Donte was hitting shots, this trade wouldn't look so bad.
