Having a knife does not need a permit like having a gun so he isn’t wrong for having one..
At most he can get charged with bringing weapon on school ground if they had one of them no weapon signs up

From everything I'm seeing, it sounds like he was a normal kid defending himself from two physically mature bullies over a situation that had nothing to do with race. Now, this whole situation has become a lightning rod for all the racial animus in the country, with him being portrayed as a stereotype that he probably isn't, and a whole lot of propaganda and projection coming from everywhere to top it off. Just a sad situation overall
