I'm the biggest Kanye stan but, I think Jon Brion really helped make that album what it was.
He brought out the musicality (if that's a word) out of him & helped focus on one central thing instead of him being all over the place.

Just was watching the video for Gold Digger and looking back on the brilliance of this album like I always do every few weeks :wow:

Late Registration is like a fine tuned/polished version of The College Dropout. Him and Jon Brion put in great work on the album. :ohlawd:
Who was that video chick at the end of the video? All the other broads I remember but who was she? :noah:

Certain music has helped to define certain periods in my life. Late Registration completely encompasses my early college years :mjcry:

Came out the Summer between my Freshman/Sophomore year when me and my friends were all home for summer vacation just getting lit, hooking up with the girls from hs we still were trying to check off our list and having fun all day/night

Every Sunday night, 10-15 heads would pile into my living room to catch the newest Entourage episode :jawalrus:. Damn that seems like forever ago now :damn::to:

Still need to add this to my vinyl collection :noah:

aww man the lyrics/theme too with the spoken word at the end? classic

i know most people disagree but i dont care.. this record consistently gives me goosebumps. "THAT REAL BLACK MUSIC nikka!!!! LA, LA, LA, LA, LAAAAAA....."

Yup, a song with a message. Ye's verse, Keyshia Cole with the background vocals and Yusef with the spoken word! Powerful song! Classic indeed.:wow:

I’ve seen people say they didn’t like this song, but I love it and Brandy’s hook game/harmonies are potent. I think it’s underrated.

I never got when some people have said they didn't like this song, it's 1 of my favorites and thought him and Brandy did a great job on the track. I love it too.
