The fashion world has been white, pretentious and elitist. :yeshrug:
It's going to continue being that way because they can.
HIs wanting to be accepted by white elitists seems to be driving him mad.

And that's like what others have said, he needs to build his OWN shyt.

The industry doesn't NEED blacks and they don't WANT blacks. But you keep trying to think you're going to build an empire that way. THEY AREN'T GOING TO LET YOU IN. why don't you see that? The only other viable option is to attempt to do your own damn thing. But I'mma let yall keep railing against whitey and hoping that in the goodness of their heart, they let the poor black man in.

YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT ABOUT THEM NOT LETTING US IN BUT BLACK ISOLATIONISM IS NOT THE WAY EITHER? SHOULD NOT THE FACT THAT NO BLACK MAN HAS DONE WHAT YOU HAVE PROPOSED BE PROOF THAT THERE IS SOMETHING SINISTER BEHIND THE SCENES? KANYE ISN'T BEGGING THE WHITE MAN, HE IS CALLING THEM OUT.

LOL GOOD PLATITUDE

I GOT A BETTER ANSWER, RICH WHITE MEN WHO MAKE 300 PERCENT MORE THAN ANY OF THEM
The point is nobody gave them anything, they earned it...Kanye feels that he's worked hard enough and proven himself beyond a shadow of doubt.. The free market disagrees...

Your arguing semantics anyway...If I buy a house from a white owned company and let your black azz sleep on my couch for a month, we're not all surviving due to the grace and the mercy of that all powerful whiteman that was kind enough to allow me to buy his property..

Your self esteem is lower than Ye's...

Black people are the only ones turned into memes now? This shyt blows my mind. He's an entertainer that's known for his outbursts and yall are acting like he cant be made fun of. It was the same when nikkas rushed to Chappelle's side when he said they always make black men wear dresses, like Robin Williams wasnt Miss Doubtfire. It aint an exclusive thing that's only happening to black people. We come off as so sensitive. It's only ok to joke when the joke aint on us. Kanye's a fukkin hypocrite to me. Yea, he says some real shyt sometimes, but he says some real dumb shyt sometimes too.
I cant relate to fendi rejecting an idea for a design. Im sure they reject thousands of designs a year, or hell, maybe they just didnt want to deal with kanye and his team because his crazy moments outweigh his sane moments. Im a regular middle class dude from the midwest. I dont think I've ever seen any fendi product, i cant even almost say I would want to.

Kanye is rich as fukk dog... His problems are rich people's problems and he wants to dress them as black people problems and it aint the case. He's pimpin the middle class to build an army, all the while trying to sell you a plain white tee for 200 bucks. I like some of his music, but I refuse to let him fool me into thinking he's some type of freedom fighter.

Like Gator said, he's got billionaire friends and connections with all these designers. Why don't they believe in him enough to fund his exploits? Dare I say it's because he's black?

BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOT THE ONLY MEMES, BUT BLACK PEOPLE ARE THE ONLY GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO GET TURNED INTO MEMES WHEN WE DEMAND TO BE TAKEN SERIOUS. REMEMBER THE GUY FROM OHIO WHO RESCUED THAT LITTLE GIRL GOT TURNED INTO A MEME? I GUESS THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE AS WELL :jawalrus:

i get why kanye's mad, the media refuses to take him seriously even when he's not being outlandish. they only give him a few weeks of respect when his album comes out then its back to "crazy kanye". that interview wasnt ridiculous, kimmel had to reach to make it funny and it didnt really work.anyone would get mad at that, i just wish he had some better tweets

The confidence of the people he aspires to be like....

So my thing is.. Why not just aspire to be yourself?

This goes back to my whole beef of the "I'm the Black Ralf Lauren" "I'm the Black Sinatra" "I'm the Black Bill Gates" "I'm the Black Springsteen" mentality that these c00n rappers promote and obsess over...

Big difference, yes, that was race related.
But how can you seriously compare his treatment to Kanye's?

That dude never had a history of acting crazy. He was just a good dude that spoke in an unorthodox manner and people made fun of him. Just like the dude that said "hide yo kids" and sweet georgia brown. But dont act like black people weren't all in on the fun too. Black people talked more shyt about them than the white media. Nonetheless, it has nothing to do with a wildly successful entertainer being made fun of. Comparing the two is dishonest and irresponsible. You're smarter than that.

alright he was being kinda eccentric, but idk if it warranted a bit on kimmel. kinda seemed like they were forcing it.
Bill Maher did a joke or 2 about that Kanye interview on his show last Friday. That shyt was awkward and came off coke-ish and idiotic.

You think Kanye doesn't have the start up capital and connections to open a small factory, pay black designers, create an identical shoe that Nike did and have it distributed to the public on a small scale?

I mean he IS a GOD right? Sounds like a small thing to a giant to me.. :yeshrug:

Reminds me of the Killer Mike verse...

"My name is Michael Render/And we are the new Avengers
We're here to tell you all your false idols are just pretenders
They're corporation slaves indentured to all the lenders
So even if you got seven figures, you still a nikka"

That's why when people talk about Jay owning 1/10 of a percentage of an NBA team or being the front for a CAA Sports agency as sometype of win for black business I laugh...

I would rather see a Black man own 100% of a $500,000 enterprise than .5% of a billion dollar one...

Stop getting caught up with names like Nike, Gucci and Apple and create your own vision independently....Be No Limit Records...Period even if it fails...Not Jimmy Iovine and Warner Present "No Limit Records"

Get what I'm sayin?

He obviously doesnt have the money to do what he wants to do, In fact he gave an example how fashion is the only industry that if your wearing the cheap version of something and someone has the expensive version you fill like shyt ahhh this my last post on this subject though tiring yall feel how you feel but if you you watch the interview thoroughly he addresses most of yall reaction to it, in fact he even predicated some of yall reactions and as far as no limit thats a smoke screen cause you still need distribution and there are no black distribution businesses in music last I heard anyway

Nike was started in 1964 with $1000.00 USD

$1000.00 USD from 1964 is worth $7544.00 USD in 2013

Last year Kanye West made $20,000,000.00 USD

:stopitslime:

How much does it cost to produce a sneaker? What were the cost in 1964 and the cost in 2013? I bet they aren't proportional and cost significantly more to start a competitive shoe brand in today's world.

Kanye 'sposed to be this creative design genius and this is the best he could do?:heh: I did like Kimmel's jab at Sarah, when they showed this pic and he had "Oh, he's talking about Sarah with this".
