Blacks in America are always put in a box. This is why there hasn't been a Black President until recently cause the racist white power structure always made sure to keep us in our little box but we are survivors and we always try to go further. Some of us have made it some haven't.
I loved KanYe's point about the "I am a God" song. It's true, if he said he was a "N!gga or Pimp or Hustler" nobody would of cared cause that's how they see Black people anyway.[/quote]
lol that's so illogical especially since the genre has promoted itself in that manner for damn near 30 years

..Black people are still in denial about the negative effects rap music has had on black self esteem and image.
I remember when the whole N-word thing was going CNN had a panel of Wynston Marsalis(who has more talent in his nut hair than hip-hop collectively) and others.
I think white boy on the top right is an editor for Complex or something. Anyways of course he had no problem with black people using the n-word in songs. He went as far as to say it's not a big deal and depends on "context"..blah blah blah. Wynston shut that shyt down with the quickness and basically state hip hop is an embarrassment for blacks image around the world which is. I have no problem admitting this.
