What is a fashion icon?

:sas1:

someone like madonna, how kate middleton is viewed the influence of run dmc. these are fashion icons because they have a very large number of people influenced by their style and i mean a very large number of people and some being doing it for decades.

kim k is not a supermodel :camby: she's a passed around whore who got famous off a sextape.

Right, and the two men who have called her a supermodel in this post must have forgotten that supermodels are size 1, six feet something leggy models whom walk the runways of countless of high end fashion shows. She is anything but. Lmao

hiphop had white women wearing velour suits hiphop had the whole youth rocking fitteds, white tee's and etc. that was hiphop at its dominance before kanye started jacking european names hiphop was culturally influencing people not so much anymore and certainly does not make kanye west a fashion icon because he never created nor innovated any of his style and not that many people are influenced by it.

Now you're just lying.

Does Ye sit at a sewing machine? No.

And what do yu mean jacking european names? Before that Ye single handed was the largest influencer in Streetwear.

He had the whole retro sneaker movement POPPING and damn near created the sneaker head movement. There are no such thing as FUSIONS without fukking Kanye. Do you understand this????

He transformed all those street wear brands like LRG and Stussy and Supreme. This is LONG before that whole euroswag movement.

Ya'll nikkas don't know wtf you're talking about.

I can't think of a bigger indicator of white supremacy that clowns trying to diminish Ye's role in fashion.

you know what your really quite special, going round posting outlandish shyt then trying to throw accolades Kanye's way even he wont accept. My personnel favorite from you is that Kanye West changed the black community.

now his a detector of white supremacy. :wow:

Man,

You never get tired of fighting against the world @Napoleon ??

Some people don't agree with you. Deal with it.

You out here acting like no fashion labels would even exist without Kanye.
And you're acting like the only reason anyone would wear a certain brand that happened to be successful in the last decade is because Kanye wore it once or mentioned it in some song.

shyt don't work that way. and you have literally no proof that he was directly responsible anyway.

And stop this high fashion bullshyt high horse you've been riding for the last few pages.

Get a fukkin hobby.

You drone on in thread after thread like the world is insane until everyone agrees with all of your views.

Crying like a bytch made fuccboi for like 20 posts already

I said he changed fashion in the black community.

Chicks weren't even chasing high fashion branded bags before Ye.

Who started all this Hermes Birkin shyt.... huh? :usure:

By the way,

I personally don't consider Kanye to be a fashion icon and think his look borders on basic/ridiculous.
But there are people who think otherwise.

It's still pretty cool to be on the cover of GQ Magazine.

out of all of those pics, there was only one outfit I could see myself wearing

Some people don't agree with you. Deal with it.

Because you have no evidence to back your claim up.

I posted something that SHOULD dead your argument since you can't even really challenge it. Ye is out here creating content, AND product with the best brands in the world and all you can do is pretend it didn't happen.

I don't care where you rank him, but Ye is a fashion influencer and certainly an icon.

I'll let your white handlers tell you what to think though.

You out here acting like no fashion labels would even exist without Kanye.
Thats not what I'm saying, but some of them WOULDNT.

Without Ye, a lot of these brands would still be on that stagnant shyt from the middle 90s and catering to old white people with too much money.

And you're acting like the only reason anyone would wear a certain brand that happened to be successful in the last decade is because Kanye wore it once or mentioned it in some song.
Thats largely a part of it.

Everything you wear has been manufactured to be marketed to certain demographics. Ye has a big role in that directly and indirectly with a lot of brands

shyt don't work that way. and you have literally no proof that he was directly responsible anyway.
Read the infographic

And stop this high fashion bullshyt high horse you've been riding for the last few pages.
What does this even mean? Theres no other black entertainers doing it on Ye's level so if yu won't even concede that, why should I?
