When Kanye was actually considered impactful and and an innovator I can't remember where we had scrubs speaking up to his "genius". MBDTF his work leading up to it spoke for itself. Every Friday he had a Good Friday release. WTT with a similar rollout. This round we have adjusting Laboy and some other scrub. Ye had Cyhi and the MAGA regiment. His doesn't even have to earn his own hype anymore. He has worse yes men than Eminem does

breh i heard some kids last night in some “man Jay aight, idk much about him but Ye is the GOAT”

lol we gotta understand that there is a big shift/generational divide between kids who grew up in the Post Graduation era and those of us who saw the whole journey.

The whole “old ye” thing was our gen wishing for a time we could never get back.

For young kids Kanye is their Nas and Jay (or id say Kanye and Drake are their Nas and Jay) and Travis Scott is their Kanye

Writing a post about why you don’t like someone famous is the same as writing a post about why you like someone. You can rephrase it to being hurt or being in love - same coin.

But I don’t know why you’d do it in a thread about the music

Thanks for your think piece sir it will be archived and read out loud to kanye himself

shyt like this just blows the high and wastes a chance to create connecting realism in peoples brains. When it drops it just won’t feel the same anymore. The mystique and magic of the moment has evaporated and is gone. The drop is just gonna feel flat. It’s literally like fukking up a chance to smash. The chemistry is just not there.

you’re gonna just wake up and hear some songs without the same presentation you expected.

sad to say... i cant get hype to his music no more...he is all over the place. too many features...the music aint good...and this been going on since tlop...
this may be the last straw....i still fukk with his designs

this is kinda my main criticism with him. His albums have become a mashup like a dj Khalid compilation or something

a bunch of interesting/good song concepts thrown on 1 project with a loose/vague theme

that’s why I like Jesus is king. It was short. Concise. Straight to the point. The few features on it were a good fit.

again, its increasingly difficult to learn what this guy actually does anymore.

Like, what did he do besides rap? Did he do the verses? The beats? Instruments? WHAT DID HE DO?

he’s just like a creative director. He does a little bit of everything but has the ultimate vision

I think people just contribute random stuff, Kanye listens, guides them, chooses what he likes, tweaks it to fit the album concept and makes it into his project/sound.

there was a Wyoming YouTube documentary that kinda explain his process

I saw someone say he should just for Khaled like projects since he’s clearly more of a Dr Dre type artist at this point anyways.

Even Diddy has more focus right now. :snoop:

I wait till thr official album drop. But "Shoulder to Lean On" is a banger. Don't see how you can't like that unless you don't mess with thst brand of rap.
