universal healthcare is important in the fight against generational poverty/ inequality because a lot of middle class and working class black ppl are drowning in medical debt...past due medical bills, for ex, can end up in your credit report and lower your credit score, which means you may not be able to borrow for a mortgage or small business...you get sick and decide to bypass a trip to the hospital because of the cost that can cost you your job, leave you disabled, dead etc
who supports policies to make affordable healthcare less attainable ...the gop
