He's talkin' about white-owned publications that still to this day generally underrate black music and at times don't even have enough of a grasp on it to speak on it as they do. Same mags that will have you believe Eminem has 3 of the best 500 albums ever in all of music while no other rapper does, shyt like that. Also many of them, like Rolling Stone, lean towards rock music more than anything else and will always have bias towards it. That's not to say these mags haven't given his music props before, but most of the people that write there don't know WTF they're writing about.
