i'd argue that to the YOUNGER generation that never saw him play unlike us older cats.. rappers have EVERYTHING to do with jordans popularity. thats how nike markets..no more commercials or ads..they send the newest shoe to rappers and they post it on instagram.. word to wale, ross, fabulous, bow wow, budden etc. even had wayne shouting out "space jam jordans" on a huge song a few years back

Wha??? Barkleys were retro'd way before 3 years ago. Kanye didn't do shyt with sneakers. He popularized fruity colored shirts among the folk who were rocking jerseys.
