More excuses. The Supreme Court has NEVER been favorable to blacks for the past 30 years.. Shyt it was the Supreme Court that gave us Bush Jr. Clarence Thomas has been up there for a century therefore keeping the power structure unbalanced.

This isn't because of Black people lack of participation in politics. RBG stupid ass not stepping down opened up the door for Trump to get those picks

I don't know about you:

Increase the number of Supreme Court justices from 9 to 18, with 18-year term limits staggered so that one seat opens per year

Require a supermajority of ⅔ of the Supreme Court for judicial review of federal laws

Enact a binding code of ethics for all judges, including Supreme Court justices

But this is definitely a better solution to the Supreme Court than the garbage Kamala Harris is trotting out :sas2:

That's the name of the game. These muthafuggas ain't gonna ever do shyt for black people in particular.

I remember seeing that house nikka Darnel Scott straight Juelz like a muthafugga when Tariq asked him what the Trump administration gonna do for black ppl. They see us as tokens
Not saying this statement is wrong, but IMO the problem is black people playing the game wrong. Politicians on the federal level job is not about trying to make life better for certain demographics. That's a never ending game we play and continue to lose. Folks we call special interest primarily do two things. First they will fund and push candidates that align with their agenda and hope it will eventually materialize. Second, they find ways to make the government benefit them i.e. tax breaks, contracts, etc. Our priority to the game is incorrect and unfortunately folks don't call it for what it is. :manny:

Didnt Her not stepping down and dying open the door for Trumps picks or not? Dont smiley outta this
Why do you think I should engage with you when you just dismissed my points as "excuses"?

I'll try one last time.

This isn't an excuse for RBG, because I agree she should have stepped her stubborn ass down, instead of trying to make a statement by being replaced by the "first female president." She put her ego over the well-being of the country with that decision. However, even if RBG had stepped down and been replaced by an Obama appointee, Trump still would have gotten two Supreme Court picks with Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, because of McConnell blocking Merrick Garland and Kennedy retiring. So, while it's frustrating that Trump got a third pick with Barrett, the Court would still be tilted heavily to the right regardless. Again, I have no problem blaming RBG for making Barrett possible, but that ignores the bigger strategy that allowed Trump and McConnell to reshape the Court in the first place.

What I am trying to explain to you how it's not just about individual players like Thomas or the disastrous mistakes of RBG, although those are part of the story. What we're dealing with is a well-coordinated, decades-long strategy from conservative networks to reshape the courts and block any policies that aim to support Black communities specifically. This effort isn't just about Trump's presidency, even though he plays a cruial role, it's about groups like the Federalist Society, the Heritage Foundation and legal "activists" like Edward Blum who have been planning these attacks on racial equity for years.

We can't ignore the reality of how these legal and political strategies are being used against us because that won't make the problem go away. Giving up just cedes more power to them.

Facts upon facts

Take housing for example, if she wins and is able to fix the housing and rent issue in the country, that benefits everyone including black people

A great economy benefits black people as well and despite the current inflation caused by corporations price gouging (another issue she promised to fix) the economy is trending significantly upwards from where trump left it and we know Republican administration always leave the economy in a mess since the days of Reagan

What is your idea of "fix the housing and rent issue"? For her to truly fix it would mean a major redistribution of wealth. What is giving you the idea that Kamala is one of the most hardcore progressives weve ever seen?

Now could she be the chosen one/Trojan horse once prophesized? Of course she could be. But some specefics about how she plans on doing this would be nice. Building more units doesnt seem like the answer to me. I somehow doubt these new units are going to be cheaper than whats already available. So unless shes building low income project buildings in inner cities I just dont see it.

And couldnt lifting everyone just create more inflation, higher rent/housing?

Transfers of wealth, and opportunity for generational investment comes when white people are doing horribly in this country(recessions, market crashes, housing crashes). So this idea that ALL being lifted is going to be great for black people isnt something i believe. If your happy with what you have? Sure,if white people are comfortable you can stay comfortable. Thats the only goal of politicians, bring the most whites back to their mean(average) of comfortability.

Now you have to ask, where are black people when whites are at their most comfortable?

A)above white people

B)equal to white people

C)beneath white people

D)Mostly beneath, with a few equal and above so they can claim America is fair:mjgrin:

And black people are still at the bottom. We even got surpassed by people that have gotten more out of the civil rights act than we have

See how that works?
That’s because many black folks look to the government to save us or waiting for the next black savior rather than looking inward and saving ourselves.

Trump is MORE racist. So which would you rather have? The less racist or the more racist?
Between Biden's fukkery, Obama tanking Black wealth and the Democrat's inaction, I don't see a real difference. If we can't be equally comfortable, we can all be equally uncomfortable
