@Mister Terrific
I’m ok with Kamala using the “black church” as a means to form her “black image” over the years and maybe help creste a new identity apart (from her Indian and Jamaican one) plenty immigrants of color in USA do this.
My point is being part of the “black church” doesn’t make her Christian ( it doesn’t even make her any more “black” than a HBCU does) And this alone shouldn’t even get her 1 Christian vote.
Seems to me like she’s trying to check all the “black” culture boxes
But she clearly thinks this will work among a base of people who are still very religious and dare I say “real” Christian.
She’s using the “black church” as a gimmick in my opinion but I could be wrong.
I don’t even like the term “black church” to begin with
And I know people who in the “black church” who might not know any better….. but I hope not.
Regardless religion shouldn’t be any deal breaker in who someone chooses to vote for.
I just don’t like the tactic of pandering to “black Christians” and making church visits/quoting the Bible singing songs and all the other tropes.
We’ve seen it over and over. It’s a joke to me. But that’s just my perspective.
