1. Abrams has never held office above state rep
2. She was attacked by right wing media as an extreme leftist. Gotta pander to the mythical centrist voters
3. She talks too blatantly about race issues. Still have to coddle the white voters and not make them feel bad
4. Colorism probably plays a role too.


None are good reasons to pass on Abrams except maybe #1.

Harris polled better with internal polls taken by the Biden campaign. It wasn't even a debate. It was between Harris and Whitmire.

I wanted Susan Rice my damn self, but the VP spot isn't an automatic path to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Joe Biden is the last VP to even try to run and win since GHWB.

It was obvious she was pushing for it. I was a little disappointed in her. She moved off some of her positions towards the center in a clear attempt to lobby for the job. She was coming off as a bit of sell out. DNC Chair is the perfect role for her.
