Let's call a spade a spade. I'm not a fan of constantly bringing up sexism but the idea that Kamala would come out aggressive and prosecutorial in this debate or in any public appearance is nonsensical. The ticket is the normalize let's all koombaya ticket. Angry black woman ain't going to play well with these suburban cacs. It took me till the end of the debate watching cacs on social media talk about how rude and aggressive Harris was and the whole time I'm like why is she being so passive and demure. Something else is at play and it's unfortunate but its reality.
You are watching America try to dehumanise another black woman.

It isn't anything new.

Yeah, I saw that poll. 48% is not a small percentage though and they can't run explicitly on "we're gonna end your job".

Hillary got killed for telling coal miners to get retrained and find another job :francis:
i get that but most of those people are probably republican-leaning anyway. most of the (fossil fuels) energy industry is extremely conservative to begin with.

i guess im more worried about democrats turning off anti-fracking people who are more likely to vote for them and represent a majority in PA. than pro-fracking people who are republican-leaning.

and i dont think they should come out and say “we’re banning fracking” because thats probably too cavalier. but they could highlight how trumps lack of environmental regulations encourages more reckless fracking policies in the midwest.

You have to provide those companies with a way and means to Redistrict their workforces to renewable energy . Just can't say fukk fracking:manny:. And you just can't assume they're republican voters either

i dont think she could have worded it in a worse possible way :dead:

"i want to retrain coal miners in safer, better paying jobs" is the obvious answer

but what the fukk did she say? " im going to have tons of coal miners out of a job"? :laff:

i think she should play that up more tbh. napoleons are probably a huge untapped voting bloc in this country but they never really get talked about

Hell no, my cac friend. You know this. I wasn't feeling the facial expressions like she was a strong woman or A STRONG "BLACK WOMAN". I felt her when she hit him with the "I'm talking ::sternmotherface:: " like shut up I know you're lying shyt. I was happy and glad she didn't give him the satisfaction. I know how it will play with the Trump base. You know what would happen and how it would be perceived. She had ammo, he didn't. She didn't even even fukk up on that Supreme Court question to me. She dodged it less than Mike on the abortion question. He should have just told the truth. She didn't answer because she knows it's the only action and basically told him they had 3.5 years and packed them with white conservatives, guess what:pachaha:

I have zero problem with taxes being raised. I'm voting yes on a gradual tax in Illinois. My little paycheck don't give a fukk cuz you tax the fukk outta me already. Highly doubt I'll see a real tax income. Cigarettes will be 30 dollars but fukk it. I'm vote down ballot dems and no on all judges:pachaha:

the messaging of the Obama campaign in 2012 is a good template for how Dems should message on fracking:

“There are a lot of folks right now who are engaging in hydraulic fracturing who are doing it safely,” Mr. Obama said. “The problem is that we haven’t established clear guidelines of how to do it safely and to inform the public, so that neighbors know what’s going on. … Look, we are going to work with industry to establish best practices. We are going to invest in the basic research and science to make sure this is done safely and in a way that protects the public health.“

Obama Backs Fracking During Campaign Appearance | StateImpact Pennsylvania

so it reassures the fracking industry people who might vote democrat you aren’t taking away their industry, but at the same time tells the anti-fracking people it will be responsibly regulated to protect public health. trump and pence have rolled back these regulations so its an easy way to counter-attack their “youre gonna ban fracking” message and make them look like the crazy, reckless ones

She said “We're going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.” She was right but she shouldn't have said it so boldly :russ:

@the cac mamba you think that liability shyt is what's killing the deals? Thugs willing spend unwillingly and they know their states need help too. You think them trying to protect corporations is the hold up or is it really state funding?

pelosi needs to fall back on demanding so much money for local and state governments. its just not gonna happen :yeshrug:

of course they should get relief, but if we're being honest, they should also be taking this opportunity to take a hard look at their budgets and cut spending. the path that some of these blue states are on is just not sustainable. they already tax their residents to death

After that c00nye smiley you tripping. Nobody expected this.

Lol they were taxing things with sugar in Illinois. They taxing with dispensaries. I would love to know where the money is going but we only first year lol. Why do big states pay for little states? Compare Illinois to South Dakota. Why? Don't big heavily taxed states help to fund little states like Wyoming? Why?
