I think this debate was petty much a wash and inconsequential to me. Hard to say who won.

You forget Trumps then campaign manager Paul Manafort who is a convicted felon the one he picked pence to be on the Ticket with Trump? Trust there is criminality there

I've done both. Neither are applicable in this scenario. Largely because law enforcement are armed to the teeth and almost always have the upperhand going into any altercation. You're praising accountability but setting up a false scenario.

Have fatal police shootings increased in places where choke holds have been banned?

Are law enforcement less effective in places where they cannot perform choke holds?

Let's stick with data and not scary nikka whataboutism.

i think the problem with chokehold bans as implemented so far is there are usually exceptions for "when an officer's life is in danger," and the judicial system almost always accepts police accounts.

so in order for a national ban to be effective it can't have these exceptions. it should definitely happen because there is no legitimate reason for police to do this
