At this point it's way too difficult for a QB to come in and learn a playbook and have an immediate impact no matter how good he is. Facts. Cutler has been trash most of his career. Hoyer has always been trash, and Joe has been awful most of his career. I looked up to see what he did today and it was laughable. 24/41 for 180 yards (a per attempt average of 4.4) and 2 picks for a passer rating of 48.8 on the day. For the season he’s averaging 5.85 yards per attempt, 180.5 yards per game, had a passer rating of 71 before today, and has 4 touchdowns to 8 picks. This is a guy the ravens passed on Kaep to keep trotting out there when he was hurt in camp, and they’re 3-3 with him having some really bad numbers in losses that were probably worse than the numbers show knowing him. A good lawyer will get him a ton of money and should be able to do it basically by saying “look at how shytty most of the quarterbacks in the league are and how many of them are frequently making either mechanical or mental mistakes far more often than my client”. It’s been more obvious than just about anything I’ve ever seen.
