what 4-3 ends regularly drop into coverage or designate assignments for their defenses? I'll wait

Oh come on. Clowney isn't struggling getting to the passer because he's being asked to drop occasionally. Put Justin Houston or Ware or Miller in a 3 point stance or in a 2 and they're still getting to to the QB

You supposed to be an uber football meathead

This is not even close to being true.

The difference between 4-3 end and 3-4 OLB is words. Unless you mean 3-4 end and OLB.

I always had the feeling trip is one of those guys who watches a lot of football but doesnt want to get bogged down in details like formations, routes, etc and would rather get advanced stats guys to do it for him

like this one time he said pats run a total of 5 formations for all of their plays :dahell:

A linebacker drops into coverage

He also rushes standing up instead of from a stance. It's not the same at all.

Different body types as well.

So Clwoney isn't athletic enough to drop back?

What position did Von Miller play in college? How bout Ware? Or Abraham?

All the good 3-4 OLB's in the league played end in college. It's interchangeable. If you can't play standing up or if you can't get to the QB you're not an every down player in the league.

@Trip likes the violence and aggression in the game. There is nothing wrong with that at all. The problem is when he tries to talk about technical aspects he has no idea about. I'm not even a football geek type but I know somethings, like a 3-4 olb is not the same as a 4-3 defensive end.

no its not just words

For the good ones, like Clowney was projected to be yes it is. If Denver went to the 4-3 do you think it'd impact Miller or Ware at all?
