And all Manchin and Sinema have to do is not fill the position until the GOP wins the Senate this year, and at that point Mitch can just block it until Biden appoints someone he likes.
breh, what the fukk are you talking about :laff:

why would manchin and sinema want a republican judge on the bench? they're moderate democrats :mindblown:

:dahell: tell them to what? not vote for a democrat, their own party, to replace a supreme court justice?

your contention is that manchin and sinema will leave the seat open for 3 years? :laff:

they didnt "block voting rights". they refused to blow up the filibuster, because there's a very real chance that the republicans control all 3 branches of government in under 3 years :dead: i would think you understand that. and given most of the discourse in here, you would have a healthy fear of that

and what exactly is the correlation between not signing onto a massive spending bill in the middle of high inflation, and refusing to seat your own party's supreme court justice? :mindblown:

you have to break out of this mindset that anyone to the right of bernie sanders isn't a real democrat :mjlol:
You’ve lost the plot breh.

Just saw Biden’s short list.. That Jackson chic that’s on the appeals court not getting it.. It will be Stacy Abrams sister

I'd be surprised if it's not Jackson. Might be the most qualified and was recently confirmed to the DC court with bipartisan support.

Manchin and Sinema have supported virtually every judge Biden has nominated. It's not an issue. I could see Manchin leaning into some racial bullshyt but ultimately it's gonna be 51 votes easy.

No, they could've easily carved out an exception just for voting rights and chose not to, while they were fine with doing it for the debt ceiling.

They didn't do it to protect Democrats in case the GOP takes over, they did it because they simply don't want to pass voting rights legislation and never did. You can be in denial if you want but it's clear. :yeshrug:

If they only need 51 votes... then do they even need manchin and sinema :skip:

I just told you :dahell: either because donors are paying them or because they're ideologically conservative and prefer a Republican judge

We already saw they have no problem tanking their own leader's presidency for personal benefit, so I mean we already know they don't actually care about the party.

got robbed at gunpoint 3 to 4 years ago, was kinda funny actually but got outta 600 dollars smh

Well, say what you want about Mitch but he isn't Chuck Schumer, if says to vote "no" then that's what the GOP Senators will do. I don't see them getting two Republicans if it came to that.

im not even surprised if they get 1 or 2 votes like murkowski, once the dust clears and it's inevitable

theres gonna be some procedural bullshyt, and grandstanding from the usual scum like cruz and hawley, but once its made clear that theres 51 votes, theres nothing for republicans to even fight

its january of 2022. biden is president until 2025 :dead:

Republicans still hold a 6_3 majority. I'd be surprised if the usuals don't vote for it as an ode to bipartisanship.
