I'd be surprised if it's not Jackson. Might be the most qualified and was recently confirmed to the DC court with bipartisan support.
Manchin and Sinema have supported virtually every judge Biden has nominated. It's not an issue. I could see Manchin leaning into some racial bullshyt but ultimately it's gonna be 51 votes easy.

No, they could've easily carved out an exception just for voting rights and chose not to, while they were fine with doing it for the debt ceiling.
They didn't do it to protect Democrats in case the GOP takes over, they did it because they simply don't want to pass voting rights legislation and never did. You can be in denial if you want but it's clear.
And all Manchin and Sinema have to do is not fill the position until the GOP wins the Senate this year, and at that point Mitch can just block it until Biden appoints someone he likes.
