It was basically a black Austin Powers rip-off but actually aged a lot better. I still like it a lot.
It came out literally a week before goldmember, it was always meant to be similar to it in some ways and over the top. I don't know why kp thought it was supposed to be something deeper or satirical. It's a B comedy but still really really funny.

i watched it a year ago and i couldn't believe how much i was laughing!!!
that shyt's hilarious!!!

Besides a few funny one liners, it was a wack movie. Towards the end, when James Brown was dancing and shouting "Say It!!" then Undercover Brother unzipped himself, my shortie looked at me like "What do u have me watching :francis:" I couldn't do anything but :yeshrug:. I really remembered it being funny but we were just watching like :beli: I gotta watch Black Dynamite again to make sure that's still funny :patrice:

Juan Roberto's bald spot
The writing was lazy but the skits were the business, Doogie Howser stole the show, I always thought Eddie was the let down, like he wasn't in on the joke. It was essentially an extended Chappelle skit. The big gulp not spilling is the blackest thing put on screen.

This and Pootie Tang great black comedies from the aughts.

:mjcry: for the love of God, who signed off on this film. I must of been smoking meth when I watched it years ago because I had fond memories of the film. But now, I can't believe what I just watched. This shyt was worse than Phat Beach. I would watch Vampire In Brooklyn five times in a row before watching this movie again. It's like the writers just walked on the set like "Yo Eddie, we don't have a script :francis:, so uh just improvise and say as many racial jokes as u can and we will go from there"
 Vampire In Brooklyn is dope

I enjoyed it more as an adult than as a teen. Never was a fan of the "white people do this, black people do that" comedy, but this movie did it well. Chappelle killed it. So did Smart Brotha ( name escapes me, I know he was Uncle Ruckus...Gary Anthony Williams????). Aujanue Ellis is still fine as fukk and Chi McBride is always criminally underrated.
