yea but he's made some HUGE buckets for us in the playoffs. and he's had some stretches where he's went off on both ends. haven't seen that from justise yet. this might be the first game of the playoffs where justise was even in the positive. I think with J rich his problem is decision making. with justise his problem is confidence. mainly on offense. on defense he still looks great, but on offense he's been such a liability most games that it negates what he brings on defense. if he just starts attacking the basket it would change everything. hopefully this game can be a breakthrough for him. he was playing shook in the first half. but late in the game he came though and wasn't a liability in the offensive side.
You're really understating Winslow's impact on defense, breh. Winslow makes rotations, recognizes threats, and has shown the ability to pretty much anchor a defense with his vision, quickness, strength, and decision making. Dude is like a homeless man's Draymond as a young rookie. He's an amazing on-ball defender but he's also amazing at communicating, rotation, help defense, etc.
Richardson is a better shooter and scorer but how Winslow has a knack for making the right play, right cut, and find his way to loose balls. Winslow's ability to play stifling defense and pump our defense is good because we're best when we play at a fast pace from defense to offense.
His defensive ability and motor are more important than his offense. Remember what happened when we told Winslow to guard Lin and he completely shut that shyt down?
Winslow just needs to be given a little rope. He's not a three point shooter so run plays to get him into the post when he pulls smaller guards or give him some quick hand offs from his bigs to allow him to attack.
Look at how he bullies dudes in the post at 1:00 or how good he attacks off the hand off.
I don't think Winslow is that much worse offensively than Richardson at all. Richardson is just a better shooter which fits into what Miami needs more.
