Can you imagine if we had Bosh instead of Whiteside? PnR defense would have been godly.
Not one 3 point attempt the last 30 seconds of the game....
Spo has been beating into Whiteside's head that he needs to contest those PnR all the time. He doesn't even stunt in their direction to make them think twice, he just drops to the paint and gives up in rhythm midrange shots like its nothing.
Its why bugs with a decent jumper make Whiteside useless. He's pretty much useless unless he's in the paint to deter lay ups and drives.

It is his decision to back down from the picks. Lowry and his teammates had too many good looks after they go around the picks and shoot the ball without any resistances. Whiteside should challenge those open shots. Then, he got outhustled and owned by Big Val.

val was bodying him on the offensive glass. he got him by 30 lbs....hassan still needs to dig deeper. as far as the pick and roll, what can he do?....if spo tells him to stay with val, he gotta stay with val. I have a hard time believing spo is telling him to stay with lowry and he's just flat out not doing it. it wasn't a good stretch for hassan, but he'll get better at home. the raps are finished. the way you're talking you'd think we lost both these games. we forced two overtimes in toronto and it's 1-1

We can't let JV outwork us on these boards, those were backbreakers and that's on everyone, especially on those 2 missed FT's that should never happen
If Joe is going to keep going Iso then he needs to be better, we can't keep depending on Wade to bail us out everytime

This was a bad loss. I know that if you would've told me before the series we were 1-1 going back home I would've been good with that, but they had a great opportunity to take a commanding lead in the series and they blew it. It could come back to hurt them if they don't take care of both at home. Whiteside getting abused down the stretch was surprising and disappointing. I don't understand why they didn't go to Wade in the post in OT with Joseph on him.
The sooner they could finish this series the better. They've got some guys that are banged up, there's been back to back ot games and there's only 1 day off in between each game.

Nah, Spo been telling him he needs to be more active on the PnR all the time. Whiteside ALWAYS sinks because he likes to look for blocks. He gets uncomfortable guarding people anywhere outside the restricted area unless he's blocking a shot. Hell, it was one of the biggest reasons that Stat kept starting when Whiteside was out because Stat would stay mobile.
Whiteside was getting abused in the PnR and in Isolation situations because Val is too quick and mobile for him. shyt is a mismatch. Whiteside can't hold Val.
Wade's legs were out. Dude was missing easy shots and bunnies all day. It should have been Dragic with the ball.

It is not in one game when he had dropped back from the shooters after the curled around the picksin many possessions. This has been going on for too long, and it isn't on Spo because has been a big critic on Whiteside's poor help defense. Be a big boy start criticizing your favorite player when he is slacking.

Maybe I'm watching it wrong, but Toronto is not that good. Sure the Heat aren't dynasty status either, but the way Toronto plays(iso guards) isn't built to hold up, especially with J Rich and Winslow guarding them. I don't Wade to keep hitting all these hero shots, but Dragic's play seems legit and our offense a flow at times.
