Vevay’s Adrienne Williams is still pursuing her dreams with successful modeling career

She’s traveled all over the United States for the last three years, but is still a hometown girl. She’s Vevay's own — Adrienne Williams.

Adrienne Williams’ interest in the modeling and entertainment business began when she was seven years old when she took an interest in participating in pageants. Then she moved on to modeling, when she was around 12 years old. Since that time, she has done promotional modeling for many nationally-recognized companies and products.

She has also appeared in several print ads. Among print work she has done, Adrienne Williams was featured in a hair ad for Stylistics for the Indianapolis area in 2003. Switzerland County residents also may remember seeing her as an elf for the Cincinnati Enquirer forum section ads during the Christmas season of 2003.

She was an extra in the movie “Three Barbeques” filmed in Cincinnati in 2002. That film has now been released on DVD. She was also an extra in a movie aired Martin Luther King day in 2003 called "The Movement".

At the age of 17, she packed up her bags and drove 2,000 miles across the country to Los Angeles. She didn’t have a lot of money — but had a dream, her family's support, and a truckload of determination.

This started an adventure that has led her from Los Angeles to New York City and many places in between.

But, no matter where she goes, she remembers to come home often to visit all her friends and family In Vevay.

While home for one visit , she was offered her own month (April) in Cincinnati's “100.9, The Whiz” radio station's yearly calendar for 2005. This allowed her to go to the Video Music Awards in Miami, Florida in 2004. Then again, while home visiting recently, the radio station asked her to do the calendar again for the second year. She will again be featured for the month of April in the new 2006 calendar.

Out in Los Angeles, she had to work two jobs just to pay her living expenses, but still made time to audition and was in several music videos. You can see her in Lloyd Banks with 50 Cent Video, "On Fire"; the video, "Selfish" with Slum Village featuring John Ledgend and Kanye West; the video , "Get Some Crunk In Your System", with Trillville featuring Lil Scrappy and Pastor Troy; Jada Kiss's video, "WHY"; and she was also an extra in Method Man and Redman's movie for BET called "How To Throw A Party" that will air sometime in the future.


Adrienne Williams also went to acting school in Santa Monica, California at Joanne Baron/DW Brown acting studio. She also attended dance classes in hip hop and jazz at Millennium Dance Studio in North Hollywood. While doing all this, she worked independently toward earning her California real estate license.

She also started working as a club promoter and took an interest in the field. She came back to Cincinnati and formed her own club promotion business "Diamonds & Dimes Entertainment".

During a trip to New York recently, she met the owner of a publicity agent company and was recruited to work for her. She then moved to New York City. Adrienne Williams now works as an assistant for a publicist in New York, CJ Robinson of The Tsunami Group Inc.

She again got to attend the Video Music Awards in Miami and some of you may have seen her on the pre-video show walking on the red carpet.

Currently she works in New York with Tsunami Group, flies back to Cincinnati for her own company, and continues to pursue opportunities in acting and modeling which has involved travel to cities across the U.S.

In July of 2005, Adrienne Williams took part in a photo shoot for Ron Isley's album cover in Los Angeles. Also in July, she appeared in “King” magazine with Tony Yayo.

In September of 2005, Adrienne Williams was featured in “Smooth Girl” magazine. This is a special edition of “Smooth” featuring women of Latina descent.

You can also look for Adrienne Williams in the newest released video this month by Mario called, "Boom".

Adrienne Williams has been very busy since she left Vevay, but nothing stops her from making regular trips home to her hometown. She is just a small town girl at heart.

Adrienne Williams is the daughter of Tony Jordan of Mount Sterling, and Suzy Williams Chatham of Vevay.
