Just trying to get our Coli Rating Up - Miami Heat Season thread 2015/16

This Heat team will get by some nights just based on having more talent than the other teams, but they'll be times where they actually have to execute, play D, and hit open shots to win. LUCKILY, we have time, and still have great depth. Birdman hasn't even gotten run. Neither has Richardson, and a few others. Y'all need to stop panicking.

People angry at Spo for keeping the bench out there for too long, people talking about Dragics contract, people talking about how garbage Staudemire is, people already proclaiming how garbage this team is and will continue to be. I've read it all during last nights Cavs game.

Amare is terrible though. He'll be a net negative player for us all season. Anytime he's the backup 5 we won't stop anyone

I always say this

While i dislike Spo, I always feel some Heat fans blow the coaching sh!t way out of proportion.

He's a decent to good coach nod doubt. But his problem is the mother fukker will sometimes overthink things thinking he can outsmart some coaches. But my biggest problem is he's no great motivational speaker and cant quite inspire a team or even command their respect in some cases. But the latter also falls on the players. Respect the position and "do YOUR job" as would say.

But now here's the reason i stopped comaplaining about Spo. Not that I ever really did anyway.
I prefer to fight the battels i can win. The little bit of energy i have to argue and cry about sh!t i prefer to use it where i know i'll make SOME headway. Heat fans need to understand this:

1. RILEY will not so easily fire his handpicked protege like that. It will take a massive fail for Riley to pull the plug on him and thus far Spo has always managed to do just enough (by an inch) to keep his job.
2. The second thing is even if Riley was to fire Spo he will likely replace him with one of the people already on the coaching staff. He will not bring in a powerful/established coach that will (perhaps) challenge Riley in terms of power in the organization.

So thats why i dont bother chasing my tail over Spo and why it annoys me that others waste their time doing so.

And as i mentioned before we have bit of a rough schedule to start the season. CLE, HOU, ATL are all game we can easily lose. Hell Id be surprised if we win 2 if any of the 3 since our starters are still not quite gelled yet

If that's the case, its a big mistake

Chemistry takes a lot of time to build in a team that is loaded with new talented players. Give the Heat some time to make some essential adjustments and develop a system that fits the players.

We can't write off Stoudemire so quickly. Amare is going to be a great piece for this team. He is the perfect guy to run a pick and roll and pick and up system with Dragic.Give him some time; he will eventually come through. We only play two games of the season thus far. That's enough games to be concerned about Amare.

If y'all haven't noticed or heard Spo (and the rest of the league) is tryna do it like Coach Pop. Spo has said that they want the five guys on the court to be "live options" on offense.

We can't write off Stoudemire so quickly. Amare is going to be a great piece for this team. He is the perfect guy to run a pick and roll and pick and up system with Dragic.Give him some time; he will eventually come through. We only play two games of the season thus far. That's enough games to be concerned about Amare.

Amare has been one of the worst defenders in the league his whole career.

With age it will only get worse. Us suffering on defense with him out there won't change

Amare needs to get more time with the 1st unit imo. If Bosh is going to be the 1st sub at around the 6:00 mark, STAT should get in then. The starters cam mask his horrible rotation knowledge and he will eat off the P&R game of Dragic and Wade.

The MAJOR thing that NEEDS to be done perfectly this season is substitutions, that can be the difference of a 2nd seed and a 6th seen. Unfortunately, Spo is the worse coach ever when it comes to rotations and I'm sure it will cost them 5+ games

Lineup and rotations decisions cost us 12 last year by my count
