Seems like He spends all his time on the damn 3pt line at times :stopitslime:

:francis:

nikka, bosh is our best shooter. He's gonna be used to space the floor because he's our most versatile offensive threat and needs to be guarded everywhere plus he opens the lanes for everyone else.

Who else do you want providing the spacing? Deng? Wade? Dragic? Whiteside?

Dude dropped 25 and 8 while taking only 3 three pointers. Most of his points came from attacking the paint and mid-range.

Do you just want no shooting or spacing?! You trying to turn us into the Grizz?

I don't know what game you have been watching, but Bosh hasn't stretched out the defense with his three-point shooting. Teams who are discipline on defense are not going to challenge his three-point shot. They have been allowing Bosh to shoot up threes when he wants. You can't open the lane when an opposing defender decides to let you shoot on the three-point line so that he can drop back to protect the paint. That's not spacing, breh. You over-analyzing Bosh's game. He isn't accurate as a prime Dirk who can shoot volumes of threes at a 40% percent rate.

He should play with his strength by reducing his three-point attempts, and attack the paint to force his defenders into foul trouble. That's how you open lane by sending the front-courts players who are defensive specialists to the bench. When shot blockers are in foul trouble, they have to seat on the bench; as of result, the lane will be opened for players like Wade, Dragic, and Winslow to attack it.

Bosh is shooting 39% on a little less than 5 threes a game. Last year he was 37% on a little less than 4 threes a game

What's wrong with those numbers for shooting? Bosh shoots threes at about a Dirk-ish clip (1.8 on 4.6 attempts is right in line with Dirk). Y'all really disrespecting Bosh's shooting ability and how much teams respect his ability to shoot.

And I've already said he's best when he's using his versatility but acting like he's not spacing and that he's not our most consistent three point threat among the starters is absurd.

nikkas is complaining that Bosh is hitting 3s at a slightly lower clip than prime Dirk. :russ:

Bosh shot 37% from three last year on 3.8 attempts which would fit right in on Dirk's numbers despite the fact he was playing with injuries and one of the worst offenses in the league. :francis:

I ain't gonna let this disrespect for Bosh keep flying

Even though I already said that Bosh is at his best when he's using his versatility (High post and facing up, on the block, or at three) to get buckets because he has to be respected everywhere on the court but nikkas acting like our next most consistent shooter was gonna be Luol Deng, Henry Walker, and Shawne Williams.

Again, who do you want spacing the floor now? Wade? Dragic? Deng? Whiteside? if teams wanna help off the 37-39% Dirk-lite shooter on the PnR...let them.

To help space the floor, most of the Heat's players are only effective in the paint or mid range. If we had more spacing, we'd probably see Toronto Bosh more often. I

We've already seen this. Bosh stays attacking the paint when other players start hitting threes because it gives him more space to operate from the high post where he's most deadly.

But teams ain't gonna respect a shooting lineup of Deng, Wade, and Goran untip they make some shots

Bosh isn't drawing any of his defenders to the three-point line because they are not going to defend Bosh's three-point attempts. Nobody isn't respecting Bosh's three-point shot. Opposing teams defensive would rather leave Bosh open from the long-range so that they can close the lane. There's isn't going to be any spacing to penetrate the lane when the defense refused to contest a long-range shot. Did you forgot how Duncan had disrespectfully left Bosh by himself in the three-point line and not moved from his position to prevent Wade and Bron from penetrating the lane? :mjlol: Any team with discipline in defensive isn't going to run out of the lane to contest Bosh's three-point attempts.

Bosh needs to move closer within his range to accurately shoot his mid-range shot and to attack the shot-blockers. If he can do that consistently, then our offense will run much better, because it will draw front-court players on to him, which will open the lane for Wade and Dragic.

Also, Nowitzki is a respectable volume 3pt. shooter in the league, and in comparison to Bosh, most of his three-point shots has been contested. Most teams are not going to sag off him from the three-point line. They wouldn't dare leave him open on the three-point line in every possession.

:russ:@ Bosh being an accurate three-point shooter compare to Nowitzki. Bosh shot the three at 37% percent last season, but he had played 44 games and that was his career high. His three-point shooting rate probably would have fell off if he had play more than 70+ games. In this season, Bosh shooting the threes at 39% rate, but that's in ten games. I doubt he will continue to shoot from downtown at this rate as the season progress. Nowitzki has taken more three-points attempts at a volume rate through the course of his career and efficiently shot the three at 38%.

Bosh is a great player when he wants to be, but he will never be a great volume three-point shooter like Nowitzki.

Bosh has only improved his three point shot since he's used it more, his season last year was when he was in the wirst offenses in the league, and pretty much every stat points to be a great three point shooter.

If Bosh shot what he was doing last year, despite dealing with injuries and a offense-less team, at a Dirk-ish rate...what is making you think it's just gonna plummet out of nowhere?

Again, Bosh's attempts this year and last year are right along the same volume as Dirk with similar shooting percentages. Obviously, Dirk is better at shooting off the dribble and creating for himself but Bosh is still hitting threes at a similar clip to a prime Dirk.

Tell me how that's a problem for the offense.

Until Bosh shows that he's unable to make that shot, I'm comfortable with his "Dirk-ish" percentage right now.

Oh, I like how you're using a single series against the Spurs as your barometer of Bosh's ability to shoot the three but 54 games just isn't good enough.

The last playoffs (2013-2014) that Bosh was in, he attempted 3.7 threes and hit it at 40% clip. Those playoff numbers are against 3 top 5 defenses (Spurs, Pacers, Bobcats) so because the best defensive team in the league made Bosh struggle for a series, he should abandon it despite the fact that he's been a pretty steady 37% to 39% shooter since 2013-2014?

Makes sense.
