All that stuff that happens at the docks is interesting as fukk, as well as the union mess.

If there is any season that needs to be skipped it would be Season 5.

For me, the Wire ends at Season 4.


Side note, did anyone see The wire Season 2 on BET, they cut out all the parts that had cacs in it.

Season 2 is difficult to get into at first after you've built preconceived notions as to what the series is about after season 1. Just know this, every season explores a different facet of Baltimore and that all comes together under the umbrella of certain themes (I'll let you figure them out yourself). What might come off as boring or just straight up foreign to you does connect directly to the hustlers and cops you became fond of in the first season.

It picks up. I think everyone felt the same way at first. Its a drastic change of pace but it picks up after 3-4 episodes and you WILL care about what happens to the stevedores at the end. Trust me

I know what you mean. Even though the hood is the "hopeless" area, I always felt more dead watching the docks.

Go on and watch, it's the only season that focuses on the true villains and things pick up after the second half of the season.

most underrated season of any tv show ever. anybody that doesnt like it just doesnt pay attention to dialogue and watches just for gunfights(which this season has like 3 good ones of) or thugs talking shyt. its a very intelligently made season if u pay attention to story and dialogue. stringer's weak hold on the hood, sobotka's weak hold on his docks, mcnulty's weak hold on his sanity. everything boils together in that pot and at the end your just like wow and ready for season 3. i think season 3 is as good as it is thanks to the setup from season 2.
