Decent movie did about as good a job as could be done given the time constraints it had to have but as always the book is far superior. The movie literally sprinted through the books material as fast as possible.

C/S. Though the movie could've easily been better if they simply incorporated Katniss inner-thoughts as a bit of background narration. That could've been done without making the movie any longer and it would've made a lot more sense to folks that didn't read the books beforehand.

Also, had they actually put some effort in showing that the monster dogs at the end where made from the former tributes, folks might not have shytted on their otherwise inexplicable existence.
