I saw this a few weeks ago, and while I enjoyed it, dudes were overrating Bardems performance like crazy. For anyone that has seen him in NCFOM, no excuses to rate him so highly in this. Old Men is him giving that top tier performance...this was pretty common action villainy. Not bad by any means, but it wasn't particularly special.
If anyone should have been given a nod of some sort, I would go with M. Afterall, she was kinda the Bond girl in this one....
Plot was fukking ridiculous. LMAO @ them blatantly setting up an action set piece with the house.
I'm not really a Bond head like that, so it's whatever, but being honest :
^ Won't be topped. And that goes for looks, intelligence, characterization, etc. She was perfection.

personally I prefer the "superman" 80's version of J.Bond more than the realistic Craig version
the character development and overall depth of his movies is far greater.. but it's wild boring...especially
when it goes on for over 2 and half hours
I just watched this again last night and ....fell asleep.. but I liked it much more on my couch than in the movies..
It's a good movie. overall. My Favorite of the recent ones

Yes, the older films were indeed better but I agree....they could be a little heavy on the dialogue.
haven't re-watched this movie since theaters. I remember leaving the theaters disappointed. I didn't feel connected to the plot or characters at all. Casino Royale is still the goat

That fact was as subtle as a baseball bat to the head. I was actually amazed that they didn't reveal that in the movie instead of keeping it subliminal.

I recently re-watched this. Didn't get the hype when it first came out. Movie felt rushed to me, I couldn't fukk with any of the characters.
On second watch? Felt completely the opposite. The "old dog" motif got hit on the head with a hammer, but otherwise I fukked with it, heavy.

I was like... why didn't he just blow up the building. He was able to do whatever he wanted the whole movie and even blow up their headquarters so why didn't he just rig the building where the old lady was at with explosives and just blow it up.
Movie had too many plot holes.
Because then Mom would be dead and the director wouldn't be able to give you the dramatic shootout at the end
