Watch it the only movie Stephen King ever directed and the reason he did was because he was tired of people getting his material wrong. He definitely swung for the fences

Two close in stature and all that. You'd have to have Tyler as the narrator and a guy like homie from power as Tyler Durden. If not him someone of a similar physical stature

Even thought it plays like two different movies it is still one of my favorite movies of all time

The main message I took from the movie is " you are not your possessions". Nothing wrong with wanting and buying stuff but it shouldn't define you as person. its all just stuff.

It's easy to believe that when you haven't lost anything but when you lose everything you own... It puts that mindset to the test and makes life a little easier to live when you know things can be replaced and your possessions do not own you.
