Even thought it plays like two different movies it is still one of my favorite movies of all time
The main message I took from the movie is " you are not your possessions". Nothing wrong with wanting and buying stuff but it shouldn't define you as person. its all just stuff.
It's easy to believe that when you haven't lost anything but when you lose everything you own... It puts that mindset to the test and makes life a little easier to live when you know things can be replaced and your possessions do not own you.
