:whew: bruh i wanna have enough money so that i have a small walk in closet for my fukking cds or vinyl if i start collecting that shyt

i know it sounds stupid, but i'd rather envision some shyt like that for the future

i probably got 200-300 cds, though the amount i buy per year has been dwindling every year since high school. every now and then (like twice a year) me and a friend hit a used cd store and drop 30-40 bucks for 8-9 albums. the experience is worth it to me

so in closing :salute: i wish i could buy more and keep some of these artists making music, i try when i can but im tryna save more money now

i got like 50 right now :ld: but i buy at least 1 new cd a week and sometimes 2 or 3 :pachaha: so its growing constantly. and i really only started collecting em this year. i feel u tho breh, i want something like this when i get older

idk if ill ever get as many as dre but im trying :steviej:

and my parents said i could have their vinyl collection when i move out so that'll give me a good start with those.

yeah i always support artists i respect and feel deserve it for putting out a quality album.

:salute: to all the real music heads out there

just download that shyt. paying for over priced music in 2012? :mindblown:i'd rather spend money on concert tickets than something that i've had for free days before it's in stores for a rip off price and a cd that gon get cracked or scratched. and music nowadays is only good for like 4-5 months tops. not like in the 90's where a new mobb depp or wu-tang album was in your deck for the whole year and you still d/l'in it today cause u lost the original.

:pacspit:fukk paying money for music. lower gas prices and ps3 game prices and MAYBE i might put up 10-15 dollars for something i can get for free.

*only artist i'd give money to for an album is someone that done blessed me with free meals for a while. like max b. god bless that nikka and all the free music he gave us. he can have my money anyday. french montana and curren$y also.

I could see starting up a vinyl collection, but need a vinyl player in the first place. Would love to have classics like Doggystyle, Low End theory and Safe and Sound on vinyl :wow:

i feel you man, i started at a young age buying cds so the habit stuck with me. it's gonna be that way for some people, and not for other people. i think if i was still a broke ass kid, maybe i wouldnt be buying as many as i have.

every now and then, i think fans should think of artists as people working a job too. yeah its a great fukking job with a lot of perks, but you should be compensated.

sidenote: but if you talking shyt on every record about how much more than you have than me, then i probably give zero fukks. but do it for hip hop, you'll get my support if i have the 10 bucks. :lolbron: :steviej:

And yet you people that don't buy shyt always act like cry babies when artists no longer cater to your demographic. Wonder why they would rather market their music to white teenagers now

They're the dumbest muthafukkas alive man. Albums cost $10. I followed Drake the 3 years before he blew up. Copped his album. Same for J. Cole. I got all Ross shyt. I just dont understand how you can steal someone's shyt, never go to his shows, never buy anything........then get mad when all the rappers decide to sell out. You can't be serious with that shyt :dwillhuh:

:why: would u buy an album on itunes??

if your gonna spend money at least get a physical copy of it :what:

edit: what @Pool_Shark said. im buying it when it drops

As long as the individual is actually PAYING for the music then it matters not the format he chooses to purchase be it CD/Vinyl/Digital

I mostly purchase my music via iTunes nowadays as for $12.99 I get the complete album plus bonus tracks and bonus videos. I only purchase physical CD's for my absolute FAVORITE artists to add to my collection (Nas, Jay-Z, and Common) I purchased both a physical and digital copy of Life Is Good because I got 19 tracks plus two videos for $14 bucks (and because I'm a Stan:ahh:) but for everyone else it saves time and Gas to just purchase from iTunes right off my iPod Touch and have it ready to listen.

Either way the artist is getting my support, which is the most important thing

i agree. supporting the music is most important. but from a consumers standpoint if you're supporting you should have something to show for it. if you buy from itunes more power to ya, but it doesnt make sense to me when you can get the physical product cheaper and have it forever.
