Save your money for what you really want. Be it a Speedie, Rollie, or whatever.

3K spent on an entry level Speedmaster, can get folded into a 5K Polar Explorer 2, which can be the basis for 10K Rollie, which can step you into a Daytona, which will lead to the AP or Lange or whatever you really want to sport.

The resale market and # of buyers for cheap watches is next to non-existent.

This is why I haven’t bought any watches. I’m just gonna wait until I can spend around $12k, and get what I really want.

Do yall have insurance on your watches? Just got one that protects against loss, theft etc with Hoodinkee. Figured if you're spending a few thousand on a watch you should get some.
there are jewelry only insurers too. one thing i'd do before buying this kinda insurance is hitting pacer or w/e their state's equivalent is and looking up lawsuits against them for denying coverage or other fukkery. see how many of those get dismissed vs. reach a settlement vs. get a payout.

I ended up with the Hoodinkee insurance. I don't have any other jewelry right now outside of watches but I'll keep that in mind.

Damn, I haven't updated for a while since my last post, but I have picked up 4 more watches:
Seiko Alpinist GMT green dial SBEJ005
Tissot Heritage 1938 Automatic COSC salmon dial
Tissot Ballade Powermatic 80 COSC engine turned bezel/black dial on bracelet
Tissot PR 516 Chronograph

I bought an aftermarket Miltat bracelet for the Alpinist GMT. I am looking at a butterfly clasp jubilee style bracelet for the Chronograph. It is a factory bracelet from the PRS 516, but I can't find one online. I'll have to call around to see about ordering one from a retailer.

I don't plan on buying another watch for a while, but I do have a list of watches I still want... a long list lol

I'll try to get pics of them up here all at some point.
