I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger on a Steinhart, yes its homage to Rolexes but a ton of sites vouch for their quality

Plus im always active and its a watch you can get away with beating up.

Can anyone recommend a nice diver under 5hunnit?

I'm looking at Invicta....I believe they use Seiko movements/parts....
plenty of Seiko's for around that price. and they're actually ISO certified dive watches

I'm not a big fan of Invicta, but they do use a Seiko movement, and they're pretty cheap :yeshrug:

Skip Invicta. I was given one that had the date stop working, chronos not align and eventually rubber strap disintegrate from just sitting in the watch box.

It all depends on your style/preference but like @daze23 said you're better off just going with Seiko (SKX, Monster or one of solar chronograph/diver combos). Also look into Orient Mako/Ray.

I would personally go for Glycine Combat Sub Golden Eye.

Glycine was recently purchased by Invicta :heh: so their value has gone down a bit in people's eyes. This guy listed/sold it for $375 FS: Glycine Combat Sub - Golden Eye. I was tempted to get it at that price even though I already have a diver.

Only problem is that Golden Eye doesn't come up for sale often so you might have to wait a bit.

yeah, I got my Combat Sub for around $400. Jomashop has a few colors for $425-495

Jomashop - Search Results for glycine combat sub

watch is nice. shyt is super thin, especially for a diver

I been looking at the Airman, but I worry the 24 hour dial might be weird to get used to. plus I really don't have a use for an extra GMT hand

The vintage is fantastic.

Really distinguished look to it.

Problem is (i know its minor) but the 19% tax, and 30dollar shipping is annoying.

But they are built extremely well and very comparable to Omega Seamaster/Rolex Subs but you know the prestige associated with those 2 names.

See, they can miss me with all that tax and shipping costs. I plan to purchase from one of the used watch forums. There I'll be able to negotiate and get something without the "luxury tax."

It's too bad Burberry isn't designing watches anymore. I love their looks.

You know you're classless when instead of paying for these beauties you'd rather just use your phone for a watch. :wow: I don't have any class. I can't pull the trigger.:francis:

Does any other company make unique watch boxes similar to Fossil? I believe each Fossil watch had it's own box.
