I sorta see where you're coming from with the "You're too young" thing... I just don't go about it that way, especially with some new new. They can take it the wrong way and it might backfire.

People can't tell my age because of my dashing looks, physique and childish hairstyle (Mohawk fade)... And most young chicks I get at that find out my real age usually hit me with "I prefer older men/ my last bf was blah blah years old"... She said yes and I acted all surprised like "Aww that's great". We ended up walking to the university together and striked up a lil convo about classes and also where I was from. I told her I was new in the city and how I keep getting lost and end up on the other side of town instead of my class(made her laugh).Right before she went to her class, I asked for her number, she hesitated so I said " Give me your facebook if you want, I'd really like to talk to you again" . She did and she ended up giving me her number on fb the next day and wanted to meet up again. Turns out she also told her friends how I approached her in public.
Now that I think about it, I also did this to a girl who lived near my place at the bus stop but forgot to ask her number thinking I'd see her again.I didn't. 4 months later, I was on fb and saw a comment she made on the university fb page.
