Okay I’m sure this will get me killed around here but do we allow for context in flicks? It’s a movie about the 50s where they said colored and it was acceptable. So is it wrong to portray the era as it was? It’s a movie about the past not being as rosy as you think. So there’s racism, sexism, and biff does try to date rape Loraine like the shyt is cool.

As viewers we know how stupid the shyt is because we’ve already seen Goldie is mayor so clearly his white boss was ignorant and wrong. But that doesn’t mean that the behavior of ignorant people shouldn’t be shown because it’s real shyt.

If a movie is real about the past we’re mad but if they sugarcoat it we’re mad too. Can’t have it both ways
